Clearer kitchen setup and printer confirmation
The Kitchen Printer Agent now makes it easier to confirm that a restaurant is connected and ready to print.
Companion software
Optional Windows software that turns FoodOrders.ai orders into printed kitchen tickets on a printer you already own. Your orders, kitchen screen and dashboard work with or without it.
The Agent never becomes a single point of failure. If the computer is off, offline or the printer is out of paper, tickets stay on the kitchen screen and in the dashboard until they are handled.
The Agent shows the restaurant name and location it is paired to, so nobody has to guess which computer belongs to which kitchen.
You pick a printer already installed in Windows and review its test page. The choice is saved only after you confirm the test looked right.
Once the first two checks pass, new tickets print as orders arrive. If no printer is selected, the Agent refuses tickets instead of quietly holding them.
Availability
We describe hardware honestly. Anything not yet validated on real restaurant equipment is named as pilot or planned, never as supported.
• Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit) only. macOS and Linux builds are in development.
• Distributed to kitchen pilot restaurants and accounts whose plan includes kitchen printing.
• Printer models are validated in a controlled pilot — see the printer compatibility list.
• Code signing approval is in progress, so Windows may warn about an unfamiliar publisher.

Every Agent release is published here in plain language, alongside the rest of the FoodOrders.ai product timeline.
The Kitchen Printer Agent now makes it easier to confirm that a restaurant is connected and ready to print.
Paired Windows computers can print eligible orders automatically as kitchen tickets, with the order still visible on the kitchen screen if the printer is busy.
